Weekly Market Recap – Week Ending Oct 23, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

U.S. equity markets remained mixed this week, with weakness in growth-oriented sectors offset by continued strength in value, defensive, and energy-related stocks. The NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM<\/strong>) declined 0.75%, while the S&P 500 ETF (SPYM<\/strong>) was nearly flat, slipping just 0.04%. Communication Services (XLC<\/strong>) led the declines with a 4.36% drop, while Growth (VUG<\/strong>) and Industrials (XLI<\/strong>) also moved lower. In contrast, Dividend Equity (SCHD<\/strong>) gained 2.68%, supported by positive performances in Health Care (XLV<\/strong>), Energy (XLE<\/strong>), Small Caps (VB<\/strong>), Real Estate (XLRE<\/strong>), and Utilities (XLU<\/strong>), indicating a continued rotation toward value and defensive sectors. Stock-specific momentum remained strong across financial exchanges, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and energy, led by Cboe Global Markets (CBOE<\/strong>), Petrobras (PBR<\/strong>), Genmab (GNMSF<\/strong>), UCB (USBJY<\/strong>), United Therapeutics (UTHR<\/strong>), and Permian Resources (PR<\/strong>), highlighting selective opportunities despite broader market uncertainty.<\/p>\n
