Weekly Market Recap – Week Ending Oct 30, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

U.S. equity markets remained under pressure this week, with technology and growth-oriented stocks extending their declines while value, defensive, and cyclical sectors showed resilience. The NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM<\/strong>) fell 1.97%, while the S&P 500 ETF (SPYM<\/strong>) declined 0.56%, weighed down by sharp losses in Communication Services (XLC<\/strong>), which dropped 5.32%, and Technology (XLK<\/strong>), which slipped 2.03%. Growth (VUG<\/strong>) also declined 1.96%, highlighting the continued rotation away from growth-oriented equities. In contrast, Health Care (XLV<\/strong>) led the gains with a 3.12% advance, followed by Materials (XLB<\/strong>), Utilities (XLU<\/strong>), Consumer Discretionary (XLY<\/strong>), and Industrials (XLI<\/strong>), indicating improving breadth outside the technology sector. Stock-specific momentum remained particularly strong in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and defense, led by Genmab (GMAB<\/strong>), UCB (USBJY<\/strong>), Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN<\/strong>), Lockheed Martin (LMT<\/strong>), and Eli Lilly (LLY<\/strong>), highlighting continued investor interest in health care and defensive growth opportunities.<\/p>\n
